A Transformative Visit to Pakistan

In April 2025, Reedah El-Saie had the extraordinary honour of being invited to a State Visit to Pakistan, hosted by the Digital Foreign Direct Investment Forum (DFDI). From the moment she arrived, she was moved by the warmth, hospitality, and vision shared by Pakistan’s leadership and tech community.

With deep thanks to Zahra Shah from OPEN London CIC for the invitation, this visit proved to be an energising and eye-opening experience that reaffirmed our commitment to global collaboration in education, innovation, and technology.

A Nation of Promise and Potential
Pakistan is a country with extraordinary potential:

  • A population of over 240 million,

  • 70% under the age of 30,

  • Over 75,000 annual IT graduates,

  • 130 million school-aged children,

  • And 26.2 million Out Of School Children.

With $700 million+ investment pledged towards building a digital future, the scope for educational impact—through technology, storytelling, and innovation - is immense.

As Reedah shared in her reflections, “The opportunity to scale Brainspark Games in Pakistan while contributing to real, systemic change is something that deeply moved me. With the right support, we can transform learning and lives for generations to come.”

Harnessing Innovation for Generational Impact

The forum offered a packed programme of panels and presentations, with insight from ministers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and changemakers. Discussions explored the challenges and opportunities of investing in Pakistan’s tech ecosystem - from public-private collaboration and workforce upskilling, to VC funding and global market access.

Whether over coffee, at the Prime Minister’s State Banquet, or during bus rides across the capital, Reedah found herself in conversation with inspiring individuals driven by a shared mission to position Pakistan as a global tech destination.

Meeting Change-Makers Driving the Future

It was especially heartening to see so many active and empowered female leaders and entrepreneurs taking the stage - and the lead. Reedah had the chance to connect with passionate changemakers including:

Dr. Samina Zehra (Pakistan Software Export Board CEO), Minister for IT & Telecom Shaza Khawaja, Abu Bakar, and many others shaping Pakistan’s digital future.

We were also inspired by the cross-sector representation - visionaries from education, AI, venture capital, gaming, and innovation, all working toward shared goals.

Looking Ahead: Our Commitment to Pakistan

As Brainspark Games looks to the future, we are actively exploring:

  • Opening a Brainspark Games office in Islamabad,

  • Investing in local talent and infrastructure,

  • Upskilling Pakistan’s digital workforce with innovation and technical skills,

  • Empowering girls and women through education and mentorship,

  • And contributing to the national ambition of educating 26.2 million out-of-school children.

This visit was more than an invitation, it was a catalyst for meaningful change.

We left Pakistan energised, inspired, and hopeful. We believe that by investing in people, platforms, and purpose, we can shape a future where innovation and inclusion go hand in hand.

How do you see innovation shaping the future of education in emerging economies? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
