Innovate UK Women in Innovation Community Forum

In June 2025, Our founder, Reedah El-Saie, was selected to join the newly launched Innovate UK Women in Innovation Community Forum.

The forum brought together 16 inspiring members from across the UK’s innovation landscape, each offering unique insights from diverse sectors, regions, and backgrounds. Members included: Reedah El-Saie, Bridget Greenwood, Helen Oldham, Lorraine Acheson, Luciana Cristina Dos Santos, Lydia Mapstone, Lynne Cadenhead, Maryna Kuzmenko, Rebecca Gill, Sarah Nicolls, Sonu Bubna, Tara Attfield-Tomes, Valeen Oseh-Ovarah, Victoria Robertshaw, Victoria Smith, and Vijayalakshmi Subramani.

These leaders represent a wide spectrum of business communities, including Let’s Fund More Women, UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA), Female Founders Rise, and Women’s Enterprise Policy Group UK (WEPG).

Over a 12-month term, members would contribute to four workshops, enhancing Innovate UK’s innovation strategy with real-world insight and driving lasting change for women-led businesses.

The forum was the direct outcome of a series of roundtables convened by Innovate UK in 2024, which brought together 50 women innovators to identify opportunities and refine support programmes. These conversations led to Innovate UK’s 10 commitments to women innovators – one of which was the creation of this dedicated Community Forum to foster continuous collaborative learning.

Reflecting on her role, Reedah shared:

“I was determined to share and amplify the highs and lows of my start-up journey so that it resonated with, and inspired, other women and girls. Building a tribe of like-minded people is critical – and this is what I hoped to achieve as a forum member. We were excited to see this work contribute to a more inclusive innovation ecosystem, and proud to be playing a part in building a future where more women have the tools, funding, and community they need to thrive.”
