Parhay Pakistan: Learning Without Borders
Celebrating 25 Years of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA)
Baela Jamil, a force of nature and CEO of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) — thank you for inviting Brainspark Games to showcase our culturally inclusive, AI-powered educational mobile games featuring English Spark at the Learning Fiesta – “Parhay Pakistan”, hosted by the Pakistan High Commission.
Supported by Naila Mir, and celebrating 25 years of ITA’s transformative impact in education, it was inspiring to connect with educators, innovators, and changemakers from across the UK and Pakistan.
Hearing how ITA continues to champion inclusive learning, girls’ education, and support for vulnerable children across Pakistan was deeply moving. We’re excited to partner with your innovative libraries, literacy festivals, and cross-border educational initiatives to help address the challenge of 23 million Out-of-School Children — a shared priority across the region, highlighted by Shaza Khawaja, Dr Samina Zehra, Zahra Shah, Arif Z. Abu Bakar, Amir Anzur, and Aly Fahd.
It was an honour to share how inclusive, playful, curriculum-aligned games can spark curiosity, confidence, and equity for children of all backgrounds. Seeing children play-test William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream - and experience firsthand how Brainspark Games fosters a “love of learning through play” - was truly rewarding. Our goal is to create a ‘school in your pocket’ for children in remote villages, underserved regions, and hard-to-reach communities.
Other inspiring moments included:
Charlotte Duncan, Deputy Head at FCDO Services, on policy and innovative finance for girls’ education
Kamal Munir, Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor, on resilient educational ecosystems
Caroline Harper CBE, CEO of Sightsavers, reflecting on decades of impact supporting visually impaired children
Hussain Manawer, bestselling author and mental health advocate, sharing stories of resilience and wellbeing
Madeeha Ansari, founder of Cities for Children, on play and learning for marginalised and refugee children
Amy Bellinger, Director of Programmes at The Learning Generation Initiative, on global partnerships improving learning outcomes
The event also paid tribute to Dr Arif M. Naveed, his wife, and their baby, honouring their work in advancing education for vulnerable communities in Pakistan.
Thank you again to the ITA team for your vision and leadership in transforming education and creating opportunities for every child to learn, thrive, and dream.
