Get Into Games! Youth Programme

Brainspark Games successfully launched a pilot project, an introduction to ‘Getting into Games’ careers event. A unique program which combined workshop, demonstrations, drop-ins, exposing the children & young-people (CYP) to a range of careers within the games industry.

Youth-Led Diverse-Activities

Led by CYP, they were able to shape the event concept development to implementation. CYP were able to refine their CV/interviews skills, consider careers in 2D/3D digital-art-design, concept art/illustration, technical-art, narrative-design, games-design, technical-development, rapid-prototyping, games-production/project-management, QA-testing, app-marketing, social-media, book-keeping, entrepreneurship/business.

Participants experienced ‘a day in the life of’ different careers in gaming. This widened the young people’s  knowledge, providing insights on skills/experiences they may already have as gamers, but overlooked because they do not know enough about the games industry. Subject to funding, participants will receive an exclusive invitation to ‘London-Games-Festival’ April 2026.
